Following the successful liberation of Aurelia, Aurelian military starts to pursue Diego Gaspar Navarro who has retreated to the base in Sentry Island located off the southern coast of Leasath. However, as two reconnaisance aircraft report this to Aurelian HQ, they are both shot down by what appears to be a fighter jet equipped with an optical camouflage.

Later, Aurelians discover that the aircraft that shot down their recon pilots over Sentry Island is a prototype fighter jet codenamed Fenrir whose production was bankrolled by the profits made from invasion of Aurelia. Aware that Leasath will unleash the aircraft and restart the war with them should the plane's production be allowed to continue, Aurelian military prepares the campaign to attack the facility at Sentry Island, leaving Gryphus 1 with the choice of either attacking the facility in Cobalt Cave where additional weapon of an unknown nature is being developed for Fenrir or attacking Leasathian ace squadron known as Alecto Squadron in order to prevent them from reaching Sentry Island and gain access to Fenrir as their piloting skills would make already dangerous aircraft an even bigger threat. Despite this, Gryphus 1 decides to head to Cobalt Cave, being tasked with destroying all weapons production facilities dotted around the islands housing the cave system and sinking any Leasathian ships attempting to carry sections of the weapon away from the islands...
