Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault Walkthrough Part 13: Sanctify
0Having dealt with most of Valahia's assets in Europe, IUPF launches an assault on their base in Central Asia where they keep their nuclear weapons, intending to destroy them and deal a final blow to Valahia. However, as Antares 1 approaches the area, he is intercepted by Varcolac Squadron who reveal that Nicolae Dumitrescu has already started the nuclear launch sequence targeting United States Of America before engaging Antares in another dogfight, intent on finally killing him. As the fight progresses, Sulejmani and his wingmen reveal the truth behind Valahia and its previous attacks, claiming that Valahia is actually backed and equipped by Andre Olivieri who is trying to enact the so-called "Golden Axe Plan" which entails triggering a global conflict in order to profit on the war damage insurance policies which his company would provide to civillians all over the world. The fight ends with Antares victorious as he manages to shoot four mercenaries down. However, with nuclear warheads still set to be launched, Antares is forced to fly into the base itself in order to destroy it from within and prevent the nuclear launch, managing to do so and ending up killing all of Valahia's leaders, including Dumitrescu in the process.
Later, Andre Olivieri is visited by Sulejmani who has survived his third encounter with Antares 1 and has come to inform him that Antares and his allies have left IUPF in order to fight Golden Axe on their own. Aware of the danger they possess to his plan, Olivieri orders Sulejmani to eliminate Antares and his allies by any means necessary...
