Typically a gaming controller plugged into a windows 10 pc will put a controller icon on your computer if you go to, control panel then "devices and printers," but this puts a square icon instead which you can't check if the buttons are working through the controller icon properties options when you right click the controller icon, so typically a non controller icon (or a different icon than a controller icon) just means you don't have the driver for it.
There is a 4 led blue light bar on this controller when it is plugged in which will light up when plugged in. No idea what games it works for I was running some game with steam on windows 10 and it didn't function. I didn't spend much time trying aside from going to the Acer website to find a driver and found nothing.
