General "Deathshead" Strasse (seen in RtCW) showing up really isn't that surprising once you realize that Blazkowicz sort of kind of killed most of the other SS brass in the previous game, then killed Zetta in this one. Plus the whole sequel hook ending. Veil Heavy Troopers kind of look like the ubersoldats from RtCW too, now that I think about it.
The second part of the Queen Geist fight was probably protracted a biiiiit longer than it had any right to be in the interests of variety. A flammenwerfer with boosted range and damage would probably work wonders since you need to hit the magenta spots on her underside and the flame would pass through her head and nail the squishy bits with no trouble. So yeah, the Aliens method would be very feasible.
