Ad Agencies BEWARE of AI Bros!
I am always amazed by the sheer level of arrogance that AI bros have. This AI bro is way too confident for his own good. He thinks that he's hot stuff saying rest in peace, ad agencies. He made this AI generated Tinder ad for only $9 in under an hour with the likeness of Timothee Chalamet and Travis Scott.
First off, Tinder is a dating app, and what better way to advertise a dating app than... Timothee Chalamet and Travis Scott shooting each other? I know that a lot of ads can be really abstract, but this one is just confusing.
Second, using the likenesses of actors without their permission and for commercial purposes is going to land you in all sorts of legal troubles that you really have to prepare yourself for.
Third, most people know that you can spend $9 and less than an hour on AI, including the ad agencies that you're competing against. They're not stupid. They just won't hire you, especially when you just told everybody the secret recipe. Why bother hiring you when they can just cut off the middlemen and generate the ads themselves?
And finally, these results are still reaching the uncanny valley territory. They still way too artificial, way too clean, the motions look incredibly off, and if these brands actually hire you for their ads, it's going to reflect incredibly badly on their brand.
Granted, Coca Cola and Red Bull are big enough brands that a couple of stupid ads aren't going to take them down, but small to medium size enterprises are definitely going to take the publicity hit when they decided that AI is the best course of action to advertise their brands.
