Ike's reaction to Adachi to Shimamura ep 3. Ike sweats at the word 'triangle' in a romance. For some reason, Ike decided to continue writing in third person.

After the recording, I saw someone's comment saying that the astronaut is their favorite character. Then I felt bad while editing because I kept calling her the alien hahaha XD

One thing about the scene with Nagafuji and Hino is that the whole 'oh, I wonder why she's always here' went in really quick. Like it only had that much time for their scene so it's gotta be compressed a little.

So you're telling me that some random girl from the "neighborhood" is running around town and nobody gives a damn?

Shimamura has an interesting perspective that I feel I relate to nowadays, compared to how I was in the past. The way she says she'll catch herself in her lack of interest or how she says she keeps on having regrets, but not learn from it.

Then to help build up that part of her character, we have another monologue with her saying that she'd be depressed if Adachi ignores her, but she would get over it within three days. Since she knows that isn't ideal (and people could get hurt by that), she keeps it to herself.

Still, I think I'm starting to finally collect the pieces to Shimamura's puzzles (because previously, I felt like I didn't even have the puzzle pieces lol). Who knows, though?

Shimamura does seem to have difficulty understanding relationships, or friendships. She did say in the first episode that making friends was like diving. Lowkey, I did think of Bloom Into You when I saw that underwater scene in ep 1 and with Shimamura's character.

Oh, man. Then there's the ending with what Shimamura said. I felt that in my gut. Like interactions with other people is tiring and she feels like she's chipping away because of that. However, she finds the feeling of boredom much more terrifying than being alone. So she'd rather wear herself down and lose pieces of herself just to keep herself afloat. This is adds to the whole "diving" metaphor.

I'm not super sure about the remedy part, so I'll keep that in my thoughts for now.

I kinda know where this is going (from my VAST knowledge of the manga), although I think the situation might play out a bit better. Again... who knows.

Adachi spends her school days skipping class until she meets fellow delinquent Shimamura and the two become fast friends. Cutting class together deepens their friendship but soon unexpected emotions blossom. As awkwardness and confusion settle in, the two girls travel this sea of emotions without a paddle as they learn about each other’s feelings.
