AD&D's Curse of the Azure Bonds Any% NG Speedrun in 2:24:37
3A speedrun of Curse of the Azure Bonds, sequel to Pool of Radiance and second game in the series, a classic 'Gold Box' game. Timing starts upon (B)eginning Adventuring from the party creation screen and ends when the final textbox is displayed.
My first official run of this game, and a good starting point for it (I had two previous exploratory/routing runs offline coming in at 4 and then 3 hours). Unlike Pool of Radiance, I cut time by heavily abusing a mechanic with Party Management that allows you to multiply items, allowing me to give the best equipment to all my characters and spam the most broken limited-use items in the game.
Unfortunately, my mic stopped working at some point, perhaps as soon as the game began, and so I was silent the entire time, but still, this is my initializing run, so it's fine. I'll be looking to trim this game down, maybe even to sub-2 with better menus/item/party management.
