AD&D's Pool of Radiance Speedrun in 1:32:21
123AD&D's Pool of Radiance, the Classic Gold Box RPG by SSI. This speedrun cruises through Phlan to defeat Tyranthraxus as fast as possible; timing starts with (B)eginning the adventure from the character creation screen and ends with collecting the reward for defeating Tyranthraxus from the Council Clerk.
A new PB that has essentially ruined my speedrunning future with this game. Finding a Necklace of Missiles in Yarash's pyramid allowed me to deviate from my route and skip one major quest (and its two fights), do another slightly out of order, and take a different spell at level 5 to make the final encounter go a little quicker. The Necklace of Missiles lets you throw fireballs instantly and for free, and in this case was just a random drop I've never gotten before in this speedrun; it saves so much time the only chance I have of PBs going forward is getting another drop of it, or an even earlier one. Oh well. Complaining about getting a great PB....
