Adapting Oculus Rift Captures for Screens - Basic Tutorial (Vegas, Premiere, VirtualDub)
After seeing a lot of Oculus Rift videos produced with the wrong aspect ratio, I figured I could help my fellow VR YouTubers produce the best quality output for their viewers.
In this tutorial I share the technique used to properly convert a 1080p Oculus Rift capture to a 720p video meant for screens, preserving the highest amount of detail, filling as much screen surface as possible without destroying the video's aspect ratio.
You'll get to try this out with your favorite out of these three software titles: Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere CS6 Pro or VirtualDub.
