AdBlock Awareness (Some facts on AdBlock as well as my view)
This video is NOT getting a like rating system because I know people that use AdBlock don't want to hear the cold truth about it, and will just thumb this video down.
Looking at Decembers numbers and seeing only ONE/THIRD the amount of views actually being monetized... (meaning that amount of people viewed/clicked ads) well, that just kind of disgusts me in more ways than one.
Then when I talk to one of my friends about it, they say they'd rather not watch the ads and skip them entirely than support any channels. This pretty much got me into an uproar in making this video.
You can't skip ads on TV and even if you walk away and do something while that ad plays, money still is made from them because "technically" it was watched. Meanwhile on here people would rather be freeloaders and use AdBlock and not support the channels they watch.
The beginning pretty much shows examples of what is a good way to support channels as well as how people don't support it.
From there... everything else is explained.
Note: I don't know if the 30 second rule still applies, however I'd just click the ads you see on channels more so than wait 30 seconds for an ad (unless forced due to no skip button)
Final Note: that does not mean I am completely against AdBlock, just for the most part on Youtube and a few other sites. Some Ads can be viruses which is why I say it is a good thing to have on sites you don't trust, but otherwise if it is a site you visit regularly, I'd leave it off there.
