Adding a voltage adjustment knob and a proper output connector to my Conti-Line UPS-250. Which is not a 25 A charger, but a 32 A one - oops, I was off by almost 100 W.

I've usually just had this set to 14,1 V as a sort of mid-way point between fast charging and float charging, so that I could just leave it on overnight and not worry about boiling my batteries. Since it has a fairly high output impedance, however, not having any control over the output voltage made it a bit limited in its use; the current would begin to drop long before the battery was full.
