This is with my task swap method.
I basically caused a later encounter in the game to trigger inside the Hotel Lobby instead.

Adding to the main story, instead of moving the map to the encounter, I moved the encounter to the map, meaning story events will normally play out.

It's still not perfected, but it's a proof of concept.
