Note this was released before the recent update that removed taking fall damage from the wind gusts.

Adepti's Abode Recarved is essentially an updated version of the original map that has new lighting, slightly altered secrets, and more expansive side objective areas including a unique boss.

I like most of the changes made, but there are a few I don't agree with. First of all, not all chests are tagged as secrets, and while you do have a treasure map that shows where they are, it doesn't get updated when you collect a chest, meaning there's no way to tell if you actually found all of them unless you have a photographic memory or are taking notes.

Second, I don't like the way the wind gusts feel. They weren't amazing in the original version of the map, but they weren't as huge of an issue since you had a parachute to help you get to where you needed to go once airborne. Since this version of the map doesn't have the parachute, the wind gusts feel super janky to use and will often fling you off a cliff or outright kill you with fall damage. I'm not sure how they actually work, but I would suggest replacing them with classic style bouncers.

Now for the positives! This is still one of the best looking maps on the Sam 4 workshop and it has a nice balance of realism and fantasy. The combat for the most part is pretty fun and I'm a huge fan of the new boss featured in the second side objective. Lastly, the pacing and exploration aspect of the map are exemplary. I usually don't enjoy secret hunting in maps but there's something about the way secrets are structured in this map that makes the player feel like a genius when they discover how to obtain them.

I want to thank Nekorie again for the original map and this "Recarved" version and I hope some of my criticisms can be addressed.
