Yeah... my actual musical performance skills are lacking, but my compositional skills continue to improve very slowly but surely. Much of the music I've made is available for download in MP3 format on my website now: http://www.pixelships.com/misc/music.html

Other than that, I will admit, the biggest reason I made this video was to do the transition from me playing the keyboard to the fully tracked version of the same song at the end, 'cause I thought doing such a transition would be really fun! ;)

Additional Information and Corrections:

* I say "making music" when I was 4, but really, that amounted to just pushing random notes and hoping for the best. That's why the first real tune I learned how to play was a year later. :P

* I'm aware the real Phantasy Star III tune actually sounds quite a bit different. Many of these video game tunes I'm figuring out on my own for the challenge of it and to train my music skills overall, plus sometimes I add little extra bits which I feel sound OK. :)

* I'm aware the LCD screen on the keyboard looks virtually blank. If you're not directly in front of it, you can't see it. I think that's just a result of age because when I first got the thing over a decade ago it wasn't that bad. It also has a slot underneath for installing SIX D-cell batteries! (I'm obviously using an AC adapter because... just... wow...)

* Other games I'm capable of playing music from on my keyboard: Guardian Legend, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mega Man III, Batman (NES), Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Super Mario Brothers, just to name a few.

* The game I was making that particular final tune for never came to be and it probably won't end up in any of my games anytime soon given what I've got planned so... oh well. :B
