------------------------------------------

Space Fortress II was a game I was working on about a year prior to my second attempt to start Ancient DOS Games, way back in 2009. When I finally got a job working at a call centre after being without work for far too long, I found I simply didn't have time to work on this game anymore.

Since then, my game design goals have shifted quite a bit and Space Fortress II was simply far too outdated to resurrect, plus it would've had a very limited audience given its highly complex gameplay. I have abandoned the game for an indefinite amount of time, until I either find a good way to bring it back, or someone else asks to take the reigns. More details and a download of the game in almost the same state I left it in can be found at the following link, keeping in mind it probably won't work very well on modern computers: http://www.pixelships.com/sfort2/index.html

Additional Information and Corrections:

* Sorry for all the gaps in the commentary. Back when I made this video I hadn't really done such a thing before so this was sort of practice in a sense. I also didn't really have time that week to do a proper script or anything. x_x;

* Usually when I make a game, sound and music comes last. This is because I feel that if I can't play a game silent, then the game is deficient visually. This is just me though. There's valid arguments for having sound and music come sooner rather than later, or having key aspects of gameplay based on it, depending on the kind of game you're making.
