I power up the communication arrays on the Vocalis wing getting me one step close to home contact.

After repairing my EVA suit and collecting the first of the SSDs from the Vocalis, I drift down a corridor that leads to one of the communication arrays. A large ball of hexagons at the center of a gyroscope rests idle, waiting patiently to be turned back on. Three comm arrays in total need to be manually aligned and powered on. This of course mean venturing back out into the openness of space to locate the panels.
At each comm array, I learn a little bit more about astronaut Teresa Lopez. Her personal voice logs are played back so that I can hear thoughts and emotions as she expresses her feelings from hundreds of miles above Earth. From her aspirations as a child to her love of the various radio frequencies, the log is adds a personal touch to this otherwise lonely spacewalk. I even find a picture of a young Teresa from 2016 when she was merely 4 years old.
Adr1ft is available to play with or without an Oculus Rift or virtual reality device. Movement is controlled via gamepad, in my case a Xbox 360 controller.
The release date of Adr1ft was March 28, 2016.
Adr1ft was developed by THREE ONE ZERO. Published by 505 Games.
