ADVANCED Braking Technique for Karting #f1 #karting
21,000This advanced karting technique is a useful one to have in your driver tool box. Slowing the pressure build up on the brakes would normally throw lap time away for no reason, but sometimes it's the best way to slow the kart down. I use this technique in the wet or during brake zones where g-forces are pulling the kart laterally at the time of initial brake application (like in this example).
The reason we do this is to not ask too much of the tires at once. Tires are lazy! If you ask more than one thing of them, they give up!
