This is a play-through using "normal" Miranda in Normal Mode in the PS1 game Advanced Variable Geo 2. Read on below for more information...

Normal Miranda is the final boss in the Story Mode of this game. She is an unlockable playable character, but she cannot be used in the Normal Mode.

===== About "normal" Miranda =====
She is basically the human player version of Miranda. This version of her appears in the Final Chapter of Story Mode as a demonstration fight against Yuka (who is CPU-controlled) to further the story. The human player (Tamao) never gets to fight legit Miranda in Story Mode, instead you get to fight Final Miranda after the Yuka vs legit Miranda CPU fight.

Gameplay-wise, Miranda is a very powerful character. Her basic combo ability is actually not that good, but it's her super moves that make her powerful. All three super moves inflict very high energy depletion, and the Shining Light is a full screen super, which speaks for itself. Being a tall character, she has immense range in her basics.

Here are the differences between her and Final Miranda:

---- Legit Miranda is of course a legitimately selectable character, unlike Final Miranda.

---- Gameplay-wise, the key difference is that legit Miranda does not have an infinite Max super gauge.

---- Graphically-wise, she does not emit particles of aura.

---- Graphically-wise, her colour palette is different to Final Miranda's. Her hair is a much yellower blonde; her outfit is more black; and her skin colour is slightly darker. She looks better like this in my view...

===== Additional Information =====

---- As she normally cannot be selected in Normal Mode, it means that she does not have any win quotes, voice speech, interactions or dialogue in her winning screens and interaction/dialogue scenes in Normal Mode.

---- In her winning screens and dialogue scenes, you'll only get "......".

---- In Normal Mode, her Stage 7 mid-boss and Stage 8 last boss are both Yuka. This is because she has no arcade "story" programmed in. Therefore, you could fight Yuka up to 3 times in Normal Mode!

---- When you complete Normal Mode, she does not have ending. Instead, it just shows her winning screen and quote, and then it will go to the credits.

===== About Advanced V.G. 2 =====
This is a very nice game with good sprite-work, animation and a neat soundtrack. There is a deep Story Mode which focuses on the character Tamao, complete with unique images, anime-like scenes, dialogue text and excellent voice acting from all the characters. The zoom in/zoom out feature during fights is a very nice touch that gives the game a more dramatic look.

Gameplay-wise, with special moves, super moves, ultra moves and a flexible chain combo mechanic, it plays very much like a mix of Street Fighter and an Arc System Works fighting game. It's probably the most similar to Arcana Heart.
