How do you debug, monitor, trace 4 or 16 cores today? How will you do it with 256 or thousands of cores tomorrow? The Eclipse CDT many-core visualizer uses a graphical representation to see what is happening on your system and scales the debug and monitoring features. Attendees will see how the many-core visualizer can address problems such as wasteful resource allocation, inefficient communication patterns, vast amounts of debug information and have a glimpse of how they can use their own programming model inside the many-core visualizer. Concrete examples will be given with the Epiphany, MPPA, HyperX, TILE-Gx ,etc. Attendees will be able to appreciate the importance of advanced many-core debug features and see what can be achieve with industry-wide initiatives such as the Eclipse CDT Multi-Core Debug and Multicore Association Tool Infrastructure Work Group.
