How to use the E4 spies and other tools
Eclipse 4 brings a number of interesting concepts but also a set of tools to monitor the proper use of these concepts.
For example, the 'model spy' allows you to view and interact dynamically with the application model, the 'event spy' allows you to see the exchanged messages, the 'context spy' watches different values stored in the injection contexts and finally the 'CSS spy' helps to easily test styles on your application.
There is also an external tool that can help you to evaluate the E4 migration cost of your application. This is a view displaying statistics on your plugins and features.
This talk will explain and show how to use these spies and tools when you develop an E4 application or when you want to migrate some pieces.
