I modded Colossal Cave Adventure to add an AI companion. ChatGPT and/or GPT4 interact directly with the game through their text interface. The player only chats with the AI, the AI controls the game. It can play autonomously, change between GPT3 and 4 on the fly as needed, and it can draw pictures using DALL-E.
