Don't Starve is a survival oriented game wherein players start with nothing and have to scavenge for food and supplies to craft tools. Its focus on survival and the extensive crafting system can be compared to Minecraft, but the similarities end there. The gimmick of the game revolves around the day/night cycle. During the day players are able to roam about freely to collect crafting resources and food. When it's dark out the player must stick close to a campfire or another light source to avoid being attacked by monsters. The game was made by Klei of Shank and Mark of the Ninja fame. Don't Starve is available on Steam and a Playstation 4 version is currently in development.
