Aero Fighters 2 (Arcade) - 1 Credit Challenge
5In this video, I'm doing a 1 Credit Challenge of a game that I did a Tubers High Score Challenge run of before. But my score was kinda mediocre then, so I wanted to revisit this game. That game is: Aero Fighters 2 for the Arcade/Neo Geo. This game was developed by Video System and published by SNK, it was released in 1994. Aero Fighters 2 was ported to the Neo Geo AES and Neo Geo CD. Aero Fighters 2 can also be found on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One in 2017 and Windows Apps in 2018 as part of ACA Neo Geo. Aero Fighters 2 is a vertically scrolling shooter game. The game is played with two buttons, with the A button firing projectiles from the plane and the B button launching a special bomb attack which uses a bomb from a limited stock of bombs. Power projectiles can be obtained by destroying buildings and armored enemy planes. There are two types of Power projectiles: "P" Power projectiles, that increase the plane's firepower by one level, and "F" Power projectiles, that increase the plane's firepower to the maximum level instantly. The maximum level only lasts for a limited number of shots. When certain ground enemies and buildings are destroyed, money bonuses appear which give a set number of points based on how fast you destroy them and how quickly you collected the bonus. When the player reaches the end of the stage, the player has to face a boss ship. There are ten levels. Once those levels are beaten, there is an intermission. Another ten levels beaten at a higher difficulty will result in the game ending. The eight playable characters are: Robo Keaton, Captain Silver, Hi-En, Mao Mao, Ellen & Cindy, Spanky the Dolphin, Steve/Angela and Bobby. For this 1 Credit Challenge run: I'm going to use Hi-En from Japan in his FS-X ship. About my run on Aero Fighters 2, as part of my 1 Credit Challenge series: The game can be quite tough at times, because of the difficulty. After a lot of practice, I'm glad that I could beat my score from the Tubers High Score Challenge, when I used Spanky not too long ago. With a different character, like: Hi-En the Ninja in his FS-X ship. This character is much better than Spanky in his Northrop YF-23 ship, in my opinion. I'm very happy that I could beat my score from last time with him. Although I did not get to stage 6 this time, it was still a very good run. So this run will be part of my 1 Credit Challenge series, maybe I'll be doing better at the next THSC game. Overall, Aero Fighters 2 is a pretty fun shooter from Neo Geo and I really enjoyed it!
