Wardlow just defeated Samoa Joe for the TNT championship a few days ago at AEW Revolution. And he just posted a video on Twitter showing his rental car that was robbed with a shattered window. As you can see from the footage, all of his wrestling gear and the AEW championship itself have been stolen, right before the big show tonight where he was scheduled to defend the championship against Powerhouse Hobbs. It’s a shame that people even steal in the first place.
Wardlow seems like a really cool dude and this incident definitely upset him. He doesn’t deserve this. Nobody does, really. To make wrestling gear and those titles is pretty expensive. What is somebody going to do with those stolen items? Not much I would assume. Some people just like to spread some negativity for no reason. The good news is that Tony Khan is going to take care of Wardlow. He’s going to most likely help him out by paying for some new gear. And I’m not sure, but AEW has many different versions of the TNT titles.
Wardlow could definitely use one of them. At the end of the day, bad people can try to put bad energy into the world all they want. It doesn’t stand a chance against the power of positivity. It’s wild to think that this isn’t even the first time this happened to AEW. When Chris Jericho won the AEW championship in 2019, his title was stolen and later found by a police department. What an odd coincidence. To end this video, I just want to say don’t steal.
