Yesterday's news that Canva are buying Affinity came as a shock and disappointment to many of us loyal Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher users. It felt inevitable that a subscription price was coming next.

Thankfully Canva and Affinity seem to have heard us, for the released a statement with 4 pledges, which among other things states that perpetual licenses will remain. In fact there's actually some really good news in there too.
