The Afghan president, Hamid Karzai, has today taken a stand over the future security of his country by saying he wants private operators out within 4 months. He's issued a decree saying they'll either have to join the Police Force or cease operations. Only those who work in Embassy compounds are excluded. Meanwhile potential talks with the Taliban are back on the agenda as Claire Sadler reports.
