Afterglow Controller not connected PC FIX

So my afterglow controller software said there was no controller connected, this was my fix. The actual error I got was

"an afterglow prismatic controller is currently not connected"

this was infact correct as I had an Afterglow pdp xbox and pc controller and so needed the PDP software not the afterglow one!
