In recent years, interest in speedrunning has moved beyond gameplay experiences.There has been an increase in scholarly and professional work researching, documenting, and applying critical thinking to speedrunning - its practices and its community. This panel will discuss ways that you can get involved in speedrunning-related research, whether you are going for an undergraduate, masters, doctoral degree, or beyond. The panelists, who span a wide range of expertise and backgrounds, will share their own experiences in doing speedrunning-related work and explore future directions to take speedrunning in research and in professional work.
