Age of Calamity! Time of Heroes! Part 2
0Welcome SimuSquad and other adventurers to another glorious adventure through Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity on Nintendo Switch! It is a non-canon game that is supposed to tell the story of the war against the Calamity, but because of time travel shenanigans, it isn't exactly how things went. It is basically a Dynasty Warriors game, but who doesn't love slaughtering hundreds of enemies per level? Let's dive on in!
Last adventure, we had gone through the first few levels to learn how the game was played, unlock ways to upgrade our gear, and new foods to give us buffs for battle. We also unlocked the first of the Champions, Revali. Don't expect to hear from him much. Unless, I have to, I won't be playing him much. However, this episode we unlock all the other Champions that I do like! Yipee! First up, we go the the Zora Domain and help Mipha defend the domain from an attack by monsters. Unfortunately, her little brother, Sidon, gets lost in the chaos, and we have to find him before something happens to him. We find him facing down a monster, and save him with the help of a divine beast, Vah Ruta. Mipha gets on Vah Ruta and we get to use it in battle to slaughter over a thousand enemies! Once the battle is won, we have unlocked Mipha and her abilities to heal herself and others in battle. The next Champion we unlock is Daruk, the Goron Champion. He knows the location of the divine beast, Vah Rudania. Of course, it is at the top of Death Mountain, and we have to climb the mountain to get it. There's just to small problem of all the monsters on the mountain standing between us and Vah Rudania. Also, some Guardians have started to wake up, and try to attack the party. We deal first with Guardians then move onto the proper battle with monsters on our way to the divine beast. Once we reach the beast, we get another glorious slaughter as we once again to take control. This time, the number is more than 2000! Urbosa is our last Champion, and the one we visit her next. A battle ensues as we run into Gerudo warriors who try to stop us. We fight our way to the throne room, and get attacked by Urbosa! A lightning bolt strikes her, and reveals it to be Koga in disguise! Urbosa joins the fight against the newly revealed Yiga clan. We chase them off, and win the day and get to see the Gerudo divine beast, Vah Naboris. We complete some side quests, and call it an end to today's adventure!
