Here is a guide on how to beat the level Coup in the Yamato, Empire of the Rising Sun campaign. This guide is for Age of Empires Definitive Edition.

The first thing you need to do it gather as much gold as possible to pay tribute to the opposing team; you should only need to use 4 villagers to gather the gold. Whilst gathering gold you should harvest as food and stone as you will need several villagers and watch towers. Clear the trees near the enemies government center and place 4 watch towers beside it whilst also blocking the entrance with houses. When this has been done just simply switch diplomacy to enemies and destroy the government center with the watch towers and any remaining villagers. You can also build a barracks to use a few axemen instead of villagers when destroying the government center but this is not completely necessary.
