AGE OF WONDERS 4 | Reinforcement Range (Deep Dive + General Tips)
38In this Age of Wonders 4 deep dive video, I aim to give you all my general tips I have uncovered for using reinforcement range to make the most out of your movement points as well as a few other pointers. For example you can use a scout or a mounted heroes, who have extra movement, to start fights which otherwise would moved your other units away form their next objective. This strategy often result in better pathing, allowing your units to get more experience and and more rewards faster.
After playing a bit of Age of Wonders 4, you maybe asking your self: what is reinforcement range, how do I use reinforcement range to get an advantage, and/or why is reinforcement range different for infestation spawners, sieges and around city center? Reinforcement Range is Age of Wonders 4 is the range where units can get pulled into a fight. It extend 3 hexes around the defending stack of units, when it gets engaged by an attacker, and appears as a red dashed line. Each die can bring it 3 armies. Exploring Ancient Wonders is the one exception to the reinforcement rule, and only 1 army can enter those.
