Next time I do a full playthrough I'm doing it on an easier difficulty just because the AI demolishes me in autoresolves. The fact is, losing a few units when on this difficulty has a real snowball effect so you have to play well, which I don't always do. When analyzing the factions I spend a lot more time on each move but I tend to find the game slows down too much when I do that. Playing it on an easier difficulty lets me talk and go quickly without too much trouble and losing units won't cost me a game.
