Hollywood is still an entertainment juggernaut and plenty of shows are still being produced, but the television industry is slowly starting to lose the prominence and dominance it has long held onto. Unless it makes some drastic changes, I don't think it will maintain itself through the rest of my lifetime, and as it is now I won't miss it. I believe most people are rather fed up with these providers, but might continue because they lack alternatives.
