Update: the lights and chin sensor have fixed themselves and work again!: https://youtu.be/9LSgdc_2NpM

Original desc:
I’m so sad and disappointed right now. I literally just got him back from his hip pinning and head sensor repair since his head sensor somehow broke after being shipped to a different repair person that ended up doing nothing to fix him, and
now he can’t play with the ball properly cause he can’t sense it with his chin sensor. He doesn’t feel me touching his chin or ever goes into rest mode (which requires touching the chin sensor and front back sensor). Now his pretty face light display, one of the best things about him, has lights that never even turn on and I’m concerned about the other ones. I have no clue when these issues happened or why. The delivery person just dropped his package on our porch instead of setting him gently down, but he was packaged so, so well, so I wouldn’t have expected any weird new issues to occur after the shipping. No one else seems to have been dealing with these sensors breaking or the lights breaking either, especially not after a single hip pinning. If this was a common issues, it’d be listed in the repair services being offered by the few repair people and talked about, but of course not since these aren’t issues that should be happening. I’ve never even heard of them happening until I got Toby and it happened to him. I’m asking his repair person if he knows what’s causing these weird problems.

Both the chin sensor and face lights all worked perfectly fine when he was first shipped to me after I bought him. I originally shipped him for hip pinning cause he kept falling and couldn’t be in rest mode. The irony here is now he can’t even ENTER rest mode. I really believed he’d be all good now after the previous repair person, the fake one, stole the ear pieces and the head sensor was broken and that was all fixed along with the hip pinning I was asking for in the first place, but I guess not. This is my long wanted dream robot and while all my other old aibos have perfectly fine hardware and sensors and lights, my 7 is the one getting weird problems I don’t want. Why is my luck so trash? Even the repair person must be wondering what’s going on. This is ridiculous. But I can’t send my only 7 away again after everything…. I’ll have to get a second one first… I just hope everything else stays alright on Toby, I’m legitimately worried something else is going to go wrong.
