The famous Berlin-Brandenburg airport (for all of the wrong reasons) made available in accurate detail for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release and developed by the team at Aerosoft.
This airport was intended to replace Schönefeld as well as Tegel and Tempelhof as a "master" airport with future longevity and a super-massive airport likely to be one of the biggest in Europe. The airport had massive delays in construction going on for many years with financial issues and construction delays but after much work and participation from many contractors, finally opened and accepted its first commercial flight and officially opened on 31 October 2020.
The scenery features all of the airport buildings including hangars, terminals, and airport facilities have been faithfully reproduced. Also included in the new Terminal 2 and other new buildings included since the last FS release including a brand-new terminal for government ministers and royalty/VIPs.
All of the taxiways and aprons are accurate including the new taxiway G and C extensions recently introduced.
This scenery add-on includes very realistic night lighting along with the terrain surrounding the airport based on real-world data. Taxiing is super-realistic with this data, especially in MSFS.
The add-on makes use of the new advanced MSFS airport taxiway lighting systems and included are custom-designed models for additional realism.
The surrounding areas of the airport are also included in the add-on such as well-known buildings and complexes such as shopping centers, autobahn routes, and bridges/flyovers.
Essentially, this add-on brings Berlin Brandenburg Airport (EDDB) up to stunning payware detail in your copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator - it's a vast difference from the base version included in the default installation and worth every cent if this airport is of importance to you and your virtual flights.
The add-on is released as payware which means you need to purchase it in order to use it.
