Airsoft: Cheap DIY Scope Protection! (Tech Tips)
Instead of buying expensive plexiglass scope protectors that just shatter there's a far cheaper and more reliable material that you can easily cut and fit yourself: polycarbonate. As I was doing a protector today I thought I'd share the (very simple) method and show it in action!

Yes, the glue didn't hold in my example - but it was as simple as pushing the protector back in again and it was ready, and with a better glue job there wouldn't have been any issues.
Lexan is a brand of Polycarbonate sheet. A search for 3mm (or 1/16") Lexan online will bring up loads of results, e.g:
