There have been numerous incidents involving thieves or stalkers using Apple air tags to track and steal people’s cars, stalking people, hundreds of users are reporting finding air tags hidden in their cars or jackets. Videos are popping up all over tik tok from users complaining of stalking. Police departments in Canada and America are releasing safety guidelines on how people can keep themselves from being stalked with Apple Airtags.

First of all for those of you who might not know about air tags. An Airtag is a small coin sized disk shaped tracking device that Apple released in April 2021, this device is supposed to help you track your missing items. The idea was, let's say you always misplaced your car keys at home, you can attach an air tag to your car keys so that if you accidentally misplace them again, you can just use your iphone, ipad, or mac to locate the precise location of your keys. And you can attach an air tag to just about anything for you to easily locate them when they're lost.
