Alan Wake 2 : PC | Texture Streaming Issue | Pixelated Texture Fix | Disable Upscaler | INI Tweaks
20Alan Wake 2 is a beautiful game with great storytelling. Too bad some people including me are facing graphical glitches which makes the game almost unplayable.
Thankfully I was able to permanently fix the pixelated texture issue in Alan Wake 2. I am playing on a RTX 3060. The main culprit is Upscaler, whether it is FSR or DLSS. Needs to be disabled using ini file. Also its recommended to disable the following things:
Path to ini file: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Remedy\AlanWake2\renderer.ini
m_eSSAAMethod: set value as 1, which is FXAA
m_fSSAASharpening: set 0.3
Disable Raytracing as it will be more demanding without upscaler
Disable Film Grain
Disable Motion Blur
m_bVignette: set this to "false" to disable vignetting
m_bDepthOfField: set this to "false" to disable depth of field
m_bLensDistortion: set this to "false" to disable lens distortion
