All right, people. It's time head back to the world of the Sega Genesis with another new playthrough... only with commentary this time. Why? Because words couldn't describe the rage I had during recording of the footage of the video game. I'm talking about the only Genesis to ever feature former Sega mascot before Sonic the Hedgehog took him over: Alex Kidd in The Enchanted Castle!!
This game like both Kid Chameleon & goddang Bubsy after it, had me filled with so much anger throughout playthrough that I didn't want to commentary to be heard. However, unlike Kid Chameleon, this game has the mercy to be under an hour for me to complete.
Unfortunately, I couldn't even get past many of the Janken segments (the Japanese term for Rock, Paper, Scissors) without nearly breaking my controller in frustration due to my awful luck in said segment. So, many of this playthrough will be played with Save States featured and many edits throughout to catch up to where I last left off.
Much of my problems with this game is mainly of fact that Alex Kidd himself is, much like Bubsy, completely a one-hit point only wimp, who CANNOT afford to get hurt or you probably lose a life and start over from the very beginning of the stage. Although I think Kid Chameleon is an arguably worse game, this one still actively angers me dating back to my middle school days. With that being said, enjoy my playthrough of the only Alex Kidd game be released for the Genesis, The Enchanted Castle.
