Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle Video Walkthrough
60At the request of Yohan Launay here at Youtube, I present to you a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the Sega Genesis game Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle.
Firstly, let me do a bit of advertisement for Yohan. He is a programmer who has helped make the iOS and android (and hopefully PC version on Steam if it gets enough votes) of the game Mighty Dungeons:

I suggest you all take a peek at it (there is a demo out there as well for free, but I highly suggest buying the full version). I find it quite fun, It's easy to understand and I find it quite enjoyable. Eventually they are going to patch in a character I have requested and sort of designed (at least in terms of what I want the character to be like. Also, I'll update this whole thing when it comes out) and everyone should be able to use it. If you're good at designing and whatnot, you can even make your own quests / dungeons / etc, and I suppose if things work out, they also can be added into the game. It's truly a fan made dungeon crawler game.
Anyways, back to Alex Kidd...Ahem...This was pretty much an easy game to get through. The only part that really gave me a bit of trouble (at least during practice) was the last stage. I didn't care much for the falling spike ceilings you find in there...Meh...But eventually they didn't give me too much trouble. You'll also notice during the last stage I say "Screw it" to collecting chests. At that point in the game I really didn't need to get anything besides that necklace item to help me out during the rock / paper / scissors match at the end....
I'm not sure if I missed any secret areas...Obviously if I did, I guess it didn't really matter... :P
Also, I'm not sure why I took off the helicopter item before finishing up that second canyon level...Again..Oh well.. :P
