The two partners encounter Admiral Steven S.E. Gull on his private island by crash-landing the two jet planes. The former Admiral turns out to have become a cyborg! Axel must stay behind to rescue innocent civilians while Wade presses on. This is now personal. Gull appears to have superior strength and firepower and all seems lost when he activates the Doomsday Machine. At this point Wade finally remembers the Kung Fu teachings in his lost childhood and defeats the cyborg by a single well placed hit. The threat to humanity is no more as the Doomsday Device is deactivated thanks to a weak spot in its design. Wade is reunited with his long lost love.

Wade Gunner is the greatest action movie never made. Why? Here's the story. Wade Gunner was meant to be The Ultimate action movie ever. Guns, buff guys, pretty busty girls, honor, bravery, more guns, car chase, jet fighter chase, evil terrorists, a nuclear sub, aliens, even a cyborg, you name it. Was going to have it all. So what did Deep Hollywood do when they learned about this project? They axed it.
Mid 50s overweight man in a fine leather executive chair, smoking cigar while a debutante actress massages his doughy shoulders says: - So why should I finance this flick? - Because it will be the greatest action movie that ever was and will be. - OK, I heard you the first time. But how does this make me money? One movie to end it all? No way. People should come back to the box office again and again to watch new ones we churn out by the droves. You know what they will do when they see the perfect movie? They won't watch another franchise ever again. And that means less money for us.

So there you have the story folks.
