A sentimental, play by play review of Alice In Chains Unplugged at The Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, April 10, 1996. Alice In Chains has been on hiatus for nearly 3 years. Music Journalist of the time are writing Layne Staley off as a has been whose time in the spotlight has passed due to his personal demons. Layne Staley rises to the occasion, giving the performance of a lifetime. One, that has yet to be topped by any other singer in the history of Rock N Roll.

Unfortunately, this would be Layne's last, big show as he sinks further into abuse which leads to clinical depression & mental health issues. Layne Staley was found in his apartment after his accountant contacted his Mother, Nancy McCallum (Staley), informing her that Layne had not used his bank card for two weeks. Coincidentally, the King County Coroner's Office would estimate his date of death as April 5, 2002. The same day Kurt Cobain was found in his Seattle Greenhouse 8 years earlier.
