I must admit, I like that game, I like the fantasy put in that game (and in Alice 1), and the contrast to Disney's "oh my world is so wonderful" version. I do not play in the highest skill as usual. For one the highest skill is actually difficult, partly due to the a bit awkward control and since you cannot disable that weird mouse acceleration. For the second since it is primarily not a shooter, it is more a trippy game. Another funny weirdness: You play in 1920x1200 or 3840x2400, but the game only uses 1920x1080 or 3840x2160. But if you actually play in 1920x1080 or 3840x2160 the game only uses 1920x980 or 3840x1960. There are a few more funny weirdness but......
From my point of view two things are intolerable wrong with that game:
1: Origin failes. Hey EA, I PAID for that game, I already played it in 2011, and now I cannot, I cannot re-register, I can't do anything.
Hey Electronic Arts again: I AM PLAYING THE CRACKED VERSION SINCE YOU DON'T CARE! You support does not care, Origin does not work the way it should, you DESERVE to lose stock value! Really! EA deserves to die since it does not care for it's customers! Only if you are among 2 million screaming they sort-of hear you (see sim-city). This is what happens when games get produced for stock-holders, released without proper testing the reality.
2: You cannot turn off those "hit space" etc hints. With a hack you can turn off the complete HUD since it is the Unreal Engine, but that can break the game at some stages if you cannot click through the tutorial-chalk screens. I hate "Press space" on screen from the bottom of my heart. It MAY be OK for the first time, but every time? This is an insult to experienced players, again the stupid stock-holders pressure to make the game to fit even the most stupid console players who actually need such hints every time.
After the beginning I had to pause (you can see the color change it after talking with the doc) for a simple reason: I forgot to set the PhysX detail level to max, you cannot do that during the game. Else we would not have those nice hanging blanket effects a few seconds later.
