Game Description
Alien Invaders Plus! is a video game for the Odyssey 2, a home video game console released in the late 1970s. Developed by Magnavox and released in 1980, Alien Invaders—Plus! is a fixed shooter.
In Alien Invaders Plus!, players take control of a laser cannon situated at the bottom of the screen, defending Earth against waves of alien invaders descending from above. The gameplay follows the basic concept of the classic arcade game Space Invaders, but with some additional features and enhancements.
The objective of the game is to eliminate all the alien invaders by shooting them with the laser cannon. The invaders move back and forth horizontally, gradually descending towards the player's position. The player must dodge the alien projectiles and strategically time their shots to destroy the invaders. Once you defeat a fleet of aliens, the mothership will come down the screen and will fight you. When destroyed, you score a point and the next round start. However, the aliens will also score a point if they defeat the players. The first side to get 10 points wins the game.
One main feature of Alien Invaders - Plus! is the ability for the player to go back in the field if they are shot once by taking one of the shield.
