Alien Swarm - Solo Speedrun [21:29]
12Played on Easy, timed in RTA. Time without loads is 20:26.
Compared to other full campaign runs I've seen, this run gains a few seconds on just being played on Easy, but most of it comes from avoiding as much menuing time as possible by using the same loadout for Wildcat on all her missions, and from Rocket Boots.
Some of the rocket boots strats were inspired by IL runs from various players on Youtube, but I improved all of them, especially the major jump on Reactor. Timor Station has room for another jump if the swarm doesn't block you off at the rocks, but that requires plain luck.
(Regarding difficulty: Easy is fastest. I don't see selection of difficulty as anything but arbitrary; every difficulty just has increasingly higher damage, more spawns, and faster moving aliens. I commend anyone running Brutal ILs, those are pretty insane to grind out, but it's not feasible for RTA so why not just go fastest?)
