Aliens (1990) Arcade Longplay
57Aliens the arcade coin op game made by Konami, released in 1990, 26 years ago.
The game is based from the 1986 movie, although some of the aliens in the game deviates from the original concept (bat/bird aliens, electric aliens, human zombie hosts for example) but I guess in games you need to have different types of aliens. The atmosphere tone is also lighter than the original dark blue tone of the movie it is based on. And Ripley is blond in this game. With these differences it still feels you are in this cyberpunk aliens world, which is good.
Overall a classic fun side scrolling action game, with some flaws of course.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the movie Aliens, and as a big fan of the Alien trilogy, there will be more alien video games to come in this channel.
