Aliens: Dark Descent, a real-time strategy video game, was created by the game studio Tindalos Interactive. This game is set within the expansive Alien universe and was made available on June 20, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Critically, it has garnered predominantly positive reviews, and since I am a big fan of Alien and Aliens, and RTS games, I had to give this game a run for it's money. This review of Aliens: Dark Descent also marks my comeback as a video game reviewer after a two year break. I focus on covering and doing reviews of small indie games, but I do play other titles as well, so if you are in to some quick video reviews, you should subscribe for more video game stuff.
The narrative of Aliens: Dark Descent takes place in the year 2198, nearly two decades following the events depicted in the original trilogy films. This real-time strategy video game immerses players in a top-down perspective. The gamers objective is to strategically guide a squad of four colonial marines as they engage in intense battles against both Xenomorphs and renegade operatives of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
