Running my Corporal Hicks build with the Pulse Rifle and Heirloom Standoff for this one, which is pretty much a modified version of my standard allrounder build with all the essentials.

The Heirloom is a fantastic weapon that can really put out the DPS, but it needs accuracy bonuses to bring down that spread, so we're taking Tech Core CQW (+15% Reload and Accuracy) and Gunner CQW Mastery (+15% Firerate and Accuracy). Jackpot is great again on any individual reloading weapon, and as I had 2 slots left over I went with Tech CQW Mastery for extra firerate. There is a strong argument for going the accuracy route instead, however, so if you're happy to drop the Remote Detonator, you could take either Short Controlled Bursts + Let's Rock, or Phalanx CQW Expertise (+15% Accuracy + Mag Capacity) and Lancer CQW Mastery (+15% Aim Assist + Mag Capacity), which will help the pellets make their hits as well as giving you an extra shell in the tube.

For the Heirloom's attachments, Polygonal Rifling is an absolute must, with the bonus 10% damage being a teamwide buff vs that target, and a nice bonus 20% firerate as well. I've gone with Ported Compensator (+20% firerate, +40% stability) for fashion, though Assault Brake is the better choice for slightly more firerate and an accuracy bonus when stationary. For your Internal Magazine, Rapid Dispersal Unit is great for the biggest speed boost (+75%) to all that reloading you'll be doing, though Expanded Reserves is a nice alternative, having a smaller reload speed bonus (+35%) but a sizeable +40% max ammo bonus, which can really take the pressure off your Recon.

The Pulse Rifle is as reliable as ever, and Assault Brake and Compound Magazine are your best choices for sustained DPS, as well as Laser Sight if you have a Recon with Red is Dead. No real weapon perks are required for it to do its job well.

The rest of the grid is my standard allrounder build - Focus Fire + Overwhelming Fire providing easy access to Down & Out's x1.2 damage buff, as does Disorienting Blast on the grenade, Quickload Interlink is essential for Overclock and Stopwatch provides great value (20% firerate, 10% reload while OC is on cd) for only 2 squares, then Targets Acquired to keep cooldowns low for both abilities, for only 3 squares.
