This is my first attempt at painting a landscape from a movie scene. This scene is from the Aliens movie where they show the planet LV426, the wind is howling and you can see an atmospheric processor in the background. This is not supposed to be an exact duplicate for the picture that inspired it, but more of my own interpretation of it.

Using the Bob Ross wet on wet technique with oil paints. Homemade liquid white, I made liquid grey because it’s easy for me to see if it’s evenly applied to the canvas and also it’s a wintery cold scene so a grey undercoat helps with that look.

Paints used:

Titanium white
Midnight black
Phthalo blue
