SEAT enters the electric two-wheeler market with an all-new SEAT MO Escooter!
Carmaker SEAT is a part of the Volkswagen Group and has its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. The company has finally entered the new mobility brand. Under the name SEAT MO, the company intends to provide urban mobility solutions that include electric scooters. The most exciting of the three new e-scooters is the SEAT MO eScooter 125. SEAT is offering it in two variants, one for personal use, and the other for electric scooter sharing services. Now, SEAT has revealed the eScooter 125 in its final avatar, and it looks exciting.
Furthermore, the e-Scooter 125’s shape is that of a conventional scooter. However, it has distinctive design bits. It features a round apron-mounted headlamp and asymmetrical instrument consoles and has long windscreens. This makes it stand out in the competition. The front houses the round headlamp with air scoops on both sides. The escooter has a smartly positioned battery pack with a hub-mounted motor that creates enough storage space under the seat to house two full-sized helmets.
A rear-wheel, hub-mounted 9 kW motor with 240 Nm of torque and a 5.6 kWh battery propels the eScooter. You can top up the battery at a charging station which is removable. So, you could charge also it at home. The claimed range is 125 km on a single charge and a top speed of 95 km/h.
According to SEAT, users will only need to charge the battery once a week. Aimed mainly for city use, the eScooter 125 has an acceleration of 0 to 50 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Besides, there are three riding modes (City, Sport, and Eco) along with reversing gear. The escooter also comes with a digital shareable key.
